Our Story

It took two years and numerous iterations to come up with the final design for the Spineblox device that we have today.

In 2020 we made the first handmade wooden prototypes in a garage to test the prevalent theory regarding trigger points and their role in causing tension headaches. Applying targeted and adjustable pressure to these trigger points was our goal.

Unlike the upper and lower back, targeting the trigger points near the neck proved to be very tricky due to the body contours and the difficulty of positioning the attachments properly to deliver the right amount of pressure to the tissues. Accommodating for the slight variablity of the position of these trigger points from person to person, was also a big challenge

Almost six prototypes later we came up with a version with adjustable attachments on a lightweight but solid base.

As this version is tested by our supporters and clinical partners, we are looking forward to feedback. Our goal is to learn from our users and incorporate good ideas back into our device's design.
